After a competitive game through the first three quarters, the Lakers completely let go of the rope in the fourth quarter. Rightfully, they were blown out by the Pistons, losing 128-106.

LA’s superstars started the offense off with a combined eight points. Smart missed his only shot attempt, but was doing a bit of everything with one steal and two assists, including a beautiful lob to LeBron.

Austin Reaves returned from injury in the contest, coming off the bench to play 22 minutes. It was one of the few bright spots on a night where LA’s defense allowed Phoenix to shoot 58.8% from the field with 62 points in the paint.

Depleted Lakers fall in wire-to-wire loss to Clippers

The host Clippers jumped out to a double-digit lead from the jump, putting the Lakers in a hole they never could crawl out of. The lead reached 22, but the purple and gold pulled it down to single digits multiple times in the fourth.

Luka Dončić’s triple-double leads Lakers to win in Utah

With both Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton sidelined, Luka and LeBron stepped up to carry the load while the bench had another strong showing. Each of Jarred Vanderbilt, Jake LaRavia and Maxi Kleber finished with a double-digit positive plus-minus.

Lakers outlast Suns in absurd, ridiculous game

Dillon Brooks hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with roughly 12 seconds remaining, but immediately got himself ejected. LeBron James made it interesting late as he missed the technical, but was then fouled on a 3-pointer where he hit two of three to give the Lakers the lead and eventual win.

A second-quarter run by the Spurs, who were without Victor Wembanyama, opened the game up as LA trailed by double digits for most of the rest of the game.

The Lakers built their biggest lead of the game, 13, in the fourth, but then saw a huge Jazz run in the final seconds trim the deficit down to two. A potential Keyonte George game-winning 3-pointer missed and the Lakers moved to 8-2 on the road.

Luka Dončić dominates, LeBron James debuts as Lakers win in rout

The Lakers started slow in LeBron James’ debut, but kicked it up a gear in the second half to beat the Jazz going away, 140-125.LA trailed by double digits in the first half and never led until late in the third quarter, but eventually built up a 23-point lead in the fourth behind Luka Dončić’s strong third and LeBron’s strong fourth.

Luka Dončić ended with 24 points, seven rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals. Austin Reaves had 31 points with seven assists. Deandre Ayton pitched in with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Marcus Smart scored 13 points with five rebounds, five assists and two steals.

The Lakers jumped to a quick four-point lead early thanks to Luka and Ayton scoring. After the Thunder answered, Hachimura knocked down a 3-pointer to give LA a five-point lead. It was erased.
